77-78 Pepsi All-Star Dr. J.

Anyone know what decent offer would be for one of these? A friend of mine has one (no idea the condition) and I was thinking of making an offer. I haven't seen one sell in true auction format on eBay for quite some time. Can't even recall what the last one went for, it's been so long.

Thanks,
Greg

Depends on the condition . . .

But I have seen dealers trying to sell EX to NRMT versions of that card from anywhere between $150 - $300. I don't know what kind of success these dealers have had selling at this price though, and I know one dealer in particular who has had these cards listed at these prices for a long time with no movement. Thus, I would imagine the dealer pricing may be inflated.

Take this for what its worth, hope it helps. I have never seen an Ebay auction for this card, but, due to the scarcity of the card, I would be leery of listing same in an auction format unless your buddy has a really strong Ebay following.

It was quite a few years back, when most everything was in auction format and people actually spent some money :)
I've seen a few sellers on there listing it for $170-$300 depending on condition.

I pretty much stick to signed Dr. J. cards these days, so I don't really want to spend a bunch on a card, but I don't want to scrub him either, if I buy it off him.

Thanks for the info.

Greg
