Hi, looking for the modern card grading gurus on this one!

Going to resubmit and see if I can get the elusive 10 on one of these. Any thoughts or help is appreciated!

trying to add a poll!

Those borders! almost as good as 75 Topps!

On the serious side, I have no idea. They both look really nice.

Neither unfortunately but send em in anyway. Sometimes magic happens.

How do "experts" authenticate autographs when they look so different on these 2 cards ? One crosses the "A" and other doesn't.

Depends on how the judge the centering on this issue. If the frame is the border (not intentionally off-centered), I don't think either get it. Both are off left-to-right. Both also have light corner wear that would preclude 10s, IMO.

As to authenticity, this card was manufactured differently than the rest of the unsigned cards. The ones numbered to 40 were actually signed by Peter Max prior to the gloss layer being applied, so they would be easier to authenticate since their production was different. And since these were technically pack pulled manufacturer autos, I don't think they actually required PSA authentication.

But flow of autographs, starts/stops, are used by the authentication companies. It's not foolproof.

So those autos are “shellacked”?

both do appear slight O/c, right one looks worse right to left

Ended up selling one on Ebay, and I may send the other in for review. Thanks for the help!

We're all at a disadvantage just having the small scans. I've found that most things that separate a 9 from a 10 you need a loupe to see. But looking at the backs, a few corners look like they might have the tiniest of white tips on them. With a card like that where the borders are bright colors, any kind of imperfection, no matter how small, looks so much more pronounced against the bright colors. But I think the centering on both keeps them out of 10s anyway.

I've found their 60/40 for PSA 10 only works one way. Meaning, they allow a 60/40 leeway in one direction if the other direction is 50/50. If one direction is 55/45 than you won't get away with 60/40 on the other. Just my non-empirical observation from submitting my own cards.
