Here is an update from Bill on some recent saves.

*For any new, or older, members who don't know, Safe Haven Pet Rescue (501 c3) is a "pet" project of this forum. I am the treasurer on it and Bill does 100% of the work and distributing of all money. It is safe to say Bill puts in a lot more than we can donate. But our forum has helped save well over 100 dogs so far. Kudos to all and most of all, Thanks Bill!!
It is easier to cut and paste so here ya' go (below in bold).

"Noah (the black dog) was blind and Sky was his seeing eye dog who was always at his side . For at least 1 year after they were rescued, funds were raised along with frequent eye exams to try to determine if surgery could give him back his eyesight.During this time the two dogs were boarded and fostered. Finally, surgery was successful, Noah can now see! Incredibly, the family in Massaachusetts agreed to adopt both to keep them together. Lifelong friends forever together happily asleep on their couch!!

These 2 dogs Bear and Callie are brother and sister. They were 2 of 5 dogs owned by a man here in Ga. who died in his 50's. All 5 dogs were cared for one of his friends for a year before the friend could no longer afford to keep them. I picked them up and had them vetted and boarded. Bear and Callie are shown leaving the vet ready to go on transport to Massachusetts. They were each adopted by a different family in Massachusetts. It broke my heart to have them separated. So I called the rescue involved in the adoptions, pleaded to keep them together, and it worked! They convinced one family to wait for another dog as the other family was willing to take both!!!!!!!! I cried, happy happy ending, and both dogs you see are with their forever family

thanks to everyone for continued help and donations ---"
