Question on soaking topps Venezuelans

Hi everyone,

Just picked up a 62 Jim Davenport for my player collection that is one of the best looking VZs I have seen, no creases, scuffs and razor corners. The only issue is a paste remnant that is dead center on the back.

I wouldn't try soaking an American card from the 60s as most glues were not soluble. However, I was wondering if anyone had luck with Venezuelan glues as I would assume they would be different based on manufacturing.

I would like to get this puppy clean, any one had luck here?

Justin- I have had great luck on several types of old paste just using a wet Q-Tip and a Kleenex to dab it up. Takes some time but very safe.

Probably want to use distilled vs tap water for this, no?

I would hold off on the soak, T-Vens are made of inferior stock...probably more porous. Hence, could result in major damage.

Just my 2 cents.

Good luck, if you do. 👍🏻
Plz let us know how it turns out.
