Excuse the # of uploads. As I mentioned in another post, I absolutely love the T202's combination of portrait art and real-life action shots. The Delong's have great colors for the era and I wanted a card of Chick that showed off his sexy glasses. I'm not in love with any of Joe Cronin's or Lloyd Waner's cards so I went with ones that have solid portraits and were cheap. I plan on eventually getting Paul Waner's same Goudey Wide Pen and putting them next to each other in my display.
Thanks for looking and let's see everyone else's adds! |

My first miscut T206. Eddie Phelps, St. Louis Nat'l. If you look on the right you can see the red from the next card. Unfortunately there aren't any printers marker or the beginning of the other card on the front.

Great start to the year guys.

With my e98 set down to only 6 cards (and with any luck, down to 5 this week), I'm looking at the Monster as my next project. (At least a project I will take more seriously than others). :) Jimi |

Thank You, David (admittedly off topic, but it's a Pittsburgh boy done good. Postcard is larger than the Patersons and their containers.) and Thank You, David:

Love the William Paterson cards, Brian. I'm glad that you posted the Pennock, it proves what I have believed for a long time (and I believe that I am not alone) that they could not have been issued in 1922 or at least not 1922 only as Pennock did not join the Yankees until 1923 as per Baseball-Reference.com:
January 30, 1923: Traded by the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees for Norm McMillan, George Murray, Camp Skinner and $50,000. |

19th century baseball display die cut
1 Attachment(s)
In the "it doesn't have to be a baseball card to be cool" category comes this very large (11" x 5") and colorful die cut that I picked up from Lew Lipset's great sale page on his website. Note the "Base Ball Match This Afternoon / Polo Grounds / New York vs. Cleveland" mock advertising. The condition is extraordinary for a piece so delicate.

My first Old Judge:
http://joesvintagesportscards.com/Me...s/U1_34241.jpg My first B18 Blanket: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/1914-B-18-BAS...mZw~~60_57.JPG After seeing the Blanket in person, I've decided this will be my first prewar (or any era) card set. Thanks to one of our fellow board members for giving me a great deal on several others to get the set going. |
I probably shouldn't post this here but I picked up and completed my N76 Great Americans SET Hawthorne was my last need and my friend David Levin saw my post on the Non-sport side and completed my set for me!!
Thank you David and a very Happy New Year! Dan Mckee |
I've posted this enough already but it arrived tonight and noticed they added "RED" to the flip after the auction, the Geyer in the BST has this as well.
