What the heck are these?

These are large maybe 8-10" x 4-5" (I didn't measure) and are think like heavy bar coasters or maybe a little thicker. Have never seen them til a friend showed me a few this weekend. But he wasn't sure on their details either.

I'm sure this goes without saying, but I wouldn't use them as bar coasters.

I think that is a neat idea. Put them in lucite and add to the party :)
