SGC Submission Kit

Posted By: ChiSoxFan
About two weeks ago, I requested a submission kit from SGC. So far I have yet to receive the kit. Does SGC still send them out? What is in the submission kit? Should just use the online form to submit cards? What type of holders are recommended for sending cards in?

Thanks,
ChiSoxFan

Looking for T206 Sweet Caporal Fact. #30 White Sox in Poor to Fair condition.

We get a lot of phishing information submitted through the request form, so it is possible that your request was inadvertently missed or deleted. Feel free to e-mail me your information, and I can get you a kit Monday.

You can submit using the online invoice without receiving the submission kit. We offer the kit for collectors who prefer writing out carbon copy invoices. Each kit has submission forms, an explanation of grading standards, and how-to information on preparing a submission.

As was posted before, Card Savers are the preferred holder for submissions, but toploaders are fine too.

If you have any questions, just let me know.

Thanks,

Brian Dwyer
SGC
1-800-742-9212 x114

Posted By: Brian
Crossovers from any company can be combined on the same invoice--no problem. On the one card that you have a minimum grade for, I'd suggest putting a Post It note on the holder with your minimum grade. For all others where you have no minimums, you can note that in the Variations/Comments column of the invoice. Please specify whether you are just looking for any numerical grade (i.e. it's OK if a 5 goes to a 4) or if you want the cards crossed to SGC regardless of the outcome (i.e. it's OK if a 5 goes to an Authentic if we detect alterations).

Brian
