Our Own Jeffrey Lichtman

Will be hosting another of his semi-regular "fill-in" shows on WABC 770 AM this Sunday Night from 7-9 pm EST on WABC radio in New York City, 770 AM. You can also tune in on the internet at www.wabcradio.com.

This information was stolen from his facebook page; I hope he does go All-Lawyer on me and sue me for plagarism :)

Regards
Rich

calvindog 06-02-2009 06:57 PM

Thanks, Rich. Some of the show's topics will include "Favorite Ty Cobb Card," "Did the Last Few Tip Top Wagners Really Sell?" and "What WON'T Beckett Grade?"

Feel free to call in and become a part of the show -- one of the few chances to discuss vintage baseball cards on a national radio show.

I clicked on the link...boy, Jeff got really old really fast. That's the toll this hobby takes.

autograf 06-03-2009 06:11 AM

wow.....there's even a picture of Lichtman and that dude from Saturday night live there that plays the governor of NY.....

bigtrain 06-03-2009 07:33 AM

Suggest someone post a picture of the real "our own Jeff Lichtman" who is younger and much less follically-challenged than Jeffrey A. Lichtman.

drc 06-03-2009 01:06 PM

double post

drc 06-03-2009 01:12 PM

Our Jeff is better looking and with a louder mouth.

Al C.risafulli 06-03-2009 03:09 PM

Unfortunately I can't tune in because I'll be watching Bill O'Reilly.

I always assumed Jeff was much younger. ;)

Did someone confuse Lichtman with a lawyer?

4815162342 06-07-2009 07:51 PM

I heard the first hour, and it was excellent. Was there any vintage card talk in the second hour?

Rich Klein 06-07-2009 09:00 PM

Would have liked to have listened

But we had tickets to the Rough Riders tonight;

Rich

calvindog 06-07-2009 09:06 PM

Guys, thanks for listening. No prewar card talk tonight. We had a segment lined up with the grandson of an artist who did the T206 cards but couldn't fit him in.

:)

barrysloate 06-08-2009 04:46 AM

I forgot about it...maybe that was for the better?;)

cfc1909 06-08-2009 05:12 AM

wow Jeff-let us know when you are going to talk to teh grandson

calvindog 06-08-2009 07:02 AM

Yes, Barry, probably better you missed it. A number of tears-inducing topics for sure.

tedzan 06-08-2009 07:47 AM

Jeff L......

We were away (out of the 770 AM reach); therefore, I missed you last night. But look,
you have to get this "T206 guy" on your next radio broadcast. This is top priority stuff.
I will make an extra effort to call in to ask him a bunch of questions. In the past I have
tried to get thru to you, but couldn't.
So, forget the politics.....most of the "dudes" on this forum disagree with your's.....and
will turn you off.

I, for one, really enjoy your radio shows.

barrysloate 06-08-2009 08:24 AM

Jeff- if you can squeeze in a few Beatles tunes I might listen next time.

cfc1909 06-08-2009 08:34 AM

Jeff

when is the next show?

barry -it would take the beatles for you to listen-when i tuned in they were playing zeppelins-when the levee breaks-i thought that was very kool

calvindog 06-08-2009 08:47 AM

Yeah, not really into the Beatles for the show. Mostly hardcore stuff; I find it really sets the mood when discussing T206 cards.

Jim, not sure when I'm on next but I suspect it will be sometime in June.

barrysloate 06-08-2009 08:52 AM

Jeff- I'm guessing you have an audience of about a million listeners. If you switched the topic to T206 you might be left with maybe twelve people.

calvindog 06-08-2009 08:59 AM

Perhaps 16. Some of the angry guys on the forum won't admit to listening but probably can't control themselves.

4815162342 06-08-2009 09:15 AM

This southerner listened via the laptop (cell connection) through the car speakers. My wife kept asking "Who is this again?" :)

I didn't listen because I like you Jeff...and I want to keep liking you.

Actually I forgot. :D

barrysloate 06-08-2009 09:44 AM

Dan- that is my sentiment too. Jeff is a friend, and in areas we don't agree it's best to live and let live. I'm glad for him that he has such an important radio show.
