Is ebay getting boring?

Anyone else having a hard time being excited by the offerings on ebay? Not much rare stuff coming up there, or at least not as much as there once was. And most of what is rare and interesting is listed as a BIN rather than an auction. For what I collect, I've not seen a T209 in a few weeks. The singles-pre-1930 seems like its mostly populated by mid-grade T206 and T205s.

Eddie Plank and Bill Freil BIN's on E107's on ebay right now..........$11995 and $2100 respectively.

I agree as an auction site, a shadow of its former self.
However as a museum, quite impressive.

There seems to be some mid-grade material that still goes there, but the high-grade pre-war is all off to the auction houses. Makes sense, but you're right that it makes it frustrating. All the policy changes, including the BIN options and overpriced listings, have really destroyed the site. Perhaps it works for other things, but less baseball cards.

Recognize it for what it is .....

Folks, what you're seeing is the beginning of a transformation.

Investor/Flippers becoming collectors. :D

How so, Joe, not sure if I understand (pardon my simpleheadedness)?

HRB, you're absolutely right.
They become curators first, then collectors. :D

How long will they remain curator/collectors, depends on the Wall Street Journal? :)
