Colgans

Hi Andrew,

I'd say $15 for the tin and $30 for the card, if there's no back damage.

I think those values are in the 'ballpark'.

The tin is faded. Lots of sunlight did it. Instead of that faded green it used to be violet. The Violet Chips had purple/violet tins, the Mint Chips had an evergreen green tin. A faded tin might go for a bit less sometimes.

I think those are two beautiful pieces. I have never seen this combination before. despite the 'fading', it is still very nice.
I would love to just see the Swacina tin top I am looking for.
thanks for sharing...

Colgans tins.... mint, violet, and a faded violet. In the original post the violet color is still present on the exterior sides of the base of the tin, the top of the tin is faded.

A few years ago, a complete tin sold on eBay with the round gum and the original card. I almost wonder if it was an unopened tin (as the seller was not in the hobby) and "opened" the tin when photographing it. Needless to say, the tin sold in the $80 range with all of its contents (card included).

I found this tin in my Great Grandmother's possessions a few years ago...still had gum, but no card.

Looks like the gum is still good.
