J=K Candy Honus Wagner

I heard from a few fellow board members, that a J=K Candy Honus Wagner card was offered for sale at this year's National. Did anyone happen to get a picture of it, or know of a link to a pic?

I never saw one before, and was wondering if someone can help me out.

Thanks,
Tony

It's owned by someone who reads the board. Perhaps he'll post a scan.

It's a beautiful $25,000 card.

There is only one known. I have seen it used as an avatar by the owner on another message board. I can't think of it at this moment but maybe someone else could help.

There is a color pic of it in a Lew Lipset Auction catalog from a few years back. It is the diecut head type (type 2), and is cut fairly close on the sides like most of these.

I bid on it back then but came in 2nd or 3rd.
I did win the Tris Speaker (also "type 2") in same auction.

I believe it was on Dan McKees table if I'm not mistaken.

Isn't it Dan's? why so secret I mean he did have it out for sale on his table? Or did he have it out for a different board member?

It is Dan's and an image of it can be seen on his Ebay sellers page.

and...

and I could be mistaking but I think the price he had on it was 75k, as he didn't want to sell it.

I think he's safe. :D
If it were mine I wouldn't want to sell it either.

Thanks for the info, I just was curious as to what it looked like. If it were put up for auction, and idea on what it would go for? $30-$40K?

Yes I own it and yes Leon is correct, not really for sale unless I hook some blue gill sunfish who has more money than he knows what to do with.
