No need to soft-pedal with a smiley.

Whatever impact their problems may have had certainly seems to be a thing of the past judging by these consignments.

This thread has now reached its peek.

For old times sake.........I'll "shill bump" this thread, as we descend from the vertex.

Lovely Day...

oldjudge 09-24-2010 01:30 PM

I'd prefer to think of it as the Zeenuth

And if the prices last night were any indication I think they might be a very good buy. The T217's stayed really low, imo.

barrysloate 09-24-2010 02:32 PM

Hi Bob- it's still "piqued."

Orioles1954 09-24-2010 06:55 PM

Are any of these items from the Bill Mastro collection? If so, the timing in publishing this list in light of the Daily News article is interesting.

Piqued is a french word meaning pricked, as in "my interest was stimulated."
Peaked means a summit as in "my interest was taken to the top."

That said, you're probably right but my interest in the lot was not just stimulated but "wowed!" A near set of Monos is incredibly interesting, at least for me. :o

Fair enough. You're allowed a little leeway.

I'm pretty sure Leon saw your post from yesterday. Or are you angling for one of Frank's thank-you notes?

I don't understand either. I mean, he's the one who gave us a sneak pique at the auction.
