Tris Speaker/Ty Cobb Autographed Baseball
 

This is a beautiful Tris Speaker/Ty Cobb dual autographed baseball. The ball is authenticated by MastroNet, inc. Included is the letter of authenticity.

"Speaker, who was elected into the hall of fame in 1937, has signed the sweet spot of this Reach Official League ball. The ball itself has game-like wear and is in VG-EX condition. Speaker's autograph is clear, except at the end where the "ker" has faded away. Hall of Fame member Ty Cobb has also signed on the horseshoe. Cobb's autograph rates a 1/10, with the last half barely visible. This would display nicely as a single signed Speaker." (Written by MastroNet inc.)

Michael Gutierrez examined the autograph and found it to be authentic, signing the bottom of the letter of authenticity. Gutierrez is one of the top sports autograph experts in the country. Besides working for MastroNet, he has served as the authentication consultant for the PSA/DNA division of Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), as well as an appraiser on the PBS show "Antiques Roadshow".

The ball itself is a Reach "Cork Center" Official League Ball with Red/Blue stitching. It looks to be circa 1920s, possibly game used. Speaker and Cobb played on the same team in 1928.
