How to scan both sides of a card using paint

I was asked how to scan both sides of a car to one image using MS Paint in another thread so here is a pictoral tutorial.

1. Open two windows of MS Paint

2. Scan your front image to one window.

3. Flip Your card over on the scanner.

4. Scan the rear image to the other window of paint

5. Crop both images to a reasonable size.

6. Widen the image of the front to approximately double the width of the card.

7. On the back image, use the select all and then cut features.

8. On the front image select the paste feature, and then move your rear image to the right of the front.

9. Crop and save your image.

For those wondering how I get a black background, simply leave your scanner lid open when scanning your cards.

That is great. I am sure it is much appreciated. Does anybody know how to do it with iPhoto?

Very clear and helpful, but, come'on. You have all this photo manipulation expertise and couldn't put the corner back on the Sawatski?

Thanks for taking the time to help with that. I appreciate it very much. BTW, that is one real beater there! :)

Seeing the Carl Sawatski card made me laugh. He was president of the Texas League during my time there. I had to send him a check for $50 on more than one occasion. I still have the letters of reprimand from him some place.

A good baseball man.

Matt,

Here you go. I've reattached the corner for you.
