Koester Bread exclusive cards

Hello,

Quick question. Does anyone have a list of cards that are exclusive to the Koester bread set. I know Ed Brown and Alex Ferguson are exclusive. I believe that "Bill" Cunningham and "Chicken" Hawks are also exclusive. I am submitting for grading but wanted all my facts before doing so. Thanks for the help.

Koester exclusives?

Where's Rhett when you need him? I have the following listed as Koester exclusives, and I may just be wrong:

Jesse Barnes
Howard Berry
Jesse Burkett
Alex Ferguson
"Chicken" Hawks
Fred Hoffman
John Mitchell
William Piercy
Charles Stengel (Portrait)

A side note: In my master list for E121/various related issues I have a Charles Stengel listed in a batting pose for Philadelphia. Anyone seen this card or know what set it would come from?

Brian, your list is pretty accurate but I know it is missing at least "Ed." Brown & Chas. O'Leary so I will check when I get off work to see if there are others on the exclusive list. Also, John McGraw (standing) with "Mgr." as position as well as the Ross Young[s] with "R.F." are "position exclusive" but not unique poses.

Also, BTW the Stengel (batting) pose is exclusive to the early sets in the run so that would include Holsum Bread, Horpolsheimers (both are confirmed to exist) and potentially Standard Biscuit,Shotwell Mfg., and a long shot at being W575-1 blank backed.

Ken, to answer your question, "Bill" Cunningham is also exclusive.

Thanks Rhett. Are you familiar at all with a "sheet". Of Koester bread cards out in 1921? The cards I have were supposedly hand cut from a sheet in 1921.

Like seeing the O'Leary even if he is trimmed. Also wonder why SGC is so opposed to labeling Koester bread as. Koester bread. Seems like they always label them as W575-1.

This is my "exclusive" list so it looks like we had them all accounted for

Jesse Barnes
Howard Berry
"Ed." Brown
Jesse Burkett
"Bill" Cunningham
Alex Ferguson
"Chicken" Hawks
Fred Hoffmann
John Mitchell
Chas. O'Leary
William Piercy
Chas. Stengel

Thanks, Leon!

My first deal with Ted Holden. I think we were missing just one of the exclusives.

In June of 2003, we split the cost of the purchase on ebay (John Greco of Steeplechase Antiques was the seller) and then shared in the proceeds when Ted sold it off. I couldn't let that Burkett go to someone else, though and Ted graciously let me buy it from him! :)

Ted's a good guy. He's been over to the house several times. Love the vintage baseball card business sign on his car!! Kind of like one of those real estate car signs except for baseball cards. At least the first time or two he came over he had it on there, don't know about now. It is great.
