The T206 Wagner in Goodwin's latest auction must have a great story to tell. At least we won't debate trimming on this one. Hopefully, Frank Ward left an open space in his card gallery site.

I'm surprised it wasn't sold as a "printer's scrap" :)

Wagner

I wonder if this Wagner was one of the card's that was practiced on before the PSA 8 Wagner got trimmed?:)

Border fever -lop it!

Not trimmed, but instead the "borderless" variation, which is obviously much rarer than any garden variety high grade trimmed T206 Honus Wagner.

The kid that cut that card should be grounded.

Really cool to see a New wagner.

sporteq 07-31-2012 10:23 PM

It doesn't look that bad without borders IMO. :)

From the auction:
"True, three borders have been carefully removed"

Carefully? I wonder what constitutes as haphazardly in their minds?
