Joe's

Anybody here do business with Joe's Vintage Sports Cards either through his store or auction? If so, have you found him to be an accurate grader? Good experiences? Thanks.

Nothing but good experiences here---I've bought cards from him for years, in person, on ebay and now through his auctions. Almost all of what I bought was graded though, so I can't speak to that except that the one raw card I remember buying was accurately graded.

Good Experience

I have won two items from Joe's auctions. I was very pleased with the first. Fair price in the auction and good service. The second I just won so I don't have it in hand yet. But the same can be said for price and service. Plus no buyer premium and free shipping if you pay by check/MO.

Both cards I bought were graded and had good clear images on the auction site so I was comfortable in the stated condition. I will continue to regularly watch and bid in Joe's auctions.

Thanks for your replies. I have only purchased one raw card from him, but it has been a while. His prices are reasonable and seems to be a very conservative grader. He has a lot of affordable, quality raw material which can be hard to find.

Joe is great-accurate grades and excellent customer service.

Don't mean to pile on and give Joe a big head, but, yes, his operation is top notch!

One of my favorites for the reasons stated above!

Great guy, very conservative grader. I picked up a 1933 Goudey from him recently and was pleasantly surprised at how much better the card was than the grade stated for it. He will be at the National with several tables of stuff, BTW.

You won't find a better person in the hobby to deal with. Not only is he a conservative grader of unslabbed cards, but I've found his scans to be too good: Graded cards look better once I have them in hand than they do on Joe's website.

I made a few purchases from him today.
