Very cool

This would be great on the main board, not the BST. Good luck.

Best,

Andy

Thank you

Thank you Andy for helping me get that info to the right board ... i am new to this

cdn_collector 07-20-2013 07:21 PM

Interesting...where can I find more info, scans of other cards, etc? Are these ONLY going to be available at the national? (for those not able to go ...)

Regards,

Richard.

milkit1 07-20-2013 07:34 PM

ditto would love to know more

jimmyfoxx 07-20-2013 07:44 PM

as far as I know they are going to be sold like any other wax box ... check with your local stores or online dealers like Dave&Adams or Blowout

thehoodedcoder 07-21-2013 08:31 PM

i gotta be honest...what are these?

are they officially licenses baseball card box inserts or something?

they look like someone took a real card, a real cut auto and hand them in their basement and some how they are officially graded or something?

then they assigned a checklist and assumed value to them?

someone please explain in full detail what they are.

I saw this at the National. I really am not into this sort of thing but I was feeling saucy so I decided to roll the dice. Bought one pack pulled the Cy Young.

HOMERUN! Thats a ball game folks.

Kevin,
Congratulations! Awesome pull.
What company makes these? Did you buy just one pack? A box?

Very nice hit. That paid for the trip and a few more also. Hard to tell how the card looks from the picture. Looks nice though.

t206blogcom 08-01-2013 06:12 PM

How much is a 'pack'?

thehoodedcoder 08-01-2013 06:53 PM

The company is "historic autographs"

http://www.historicautographcompany.com/

1card per box. The cost at the beginning of the show was 175.

Bought my box today for 160. A little much for a gamble but it worked out real well lol.

kevin holy crap! great Job!
I was thinking about buy ing one as well. I think its worth the gamble. The worse that happens is you over pay for a nice slabbed autograph of a common. They are pretty darn cool. Great work! Hopefully others will post their successes :)

thehoodedcoder 08-01-2013 09:13 PM

They are still out there.

So far no one has the Cobb. The guy at the booth said a Cobb is definitely at the show somewhere. Happy hunting.

According to the info I read there are at least TWO of every hofer so there's double your chances :)

thehoodedcoder 08-01-2013 10:30 PM

you can only upload images on here up to certian sizes. sort of a little bit of a hassle.here is a bigger image:

the card is a 3 i think. the crease is way less worse than it actually looks. it really depends. it is through the face but it is a very fine wrinkle in the cardboard. i have seen 4s with a worse wrinkle but not through the face like that. on a bad day it could be a 2.

these are really neat. Im anxious to see what the custom art looks like. I imagine theres quite a good chance of getting a chester hoff as they had to get quite a few autographs for this. On one hand it would suck paying $160 for a chester hoff but on the other they are very presentable :)

wazoo 08-02-2013 12:32 PM

Why is it labeled 1909-1912? Why not 1911?

T206Collector 08-02-2013 01:46 PM

FWIW - I only have one autographed T206 card that is not represented by their T206 player group -- Dick Hoblitzell of all players!

milkit1 08-02-2013 01:58 PM

They added some tobacco era players not found in the t206 set which pushed it to 1912

thehoodedcoder 08-02-2013 04:24 PM

I might be wrong about this but my best guess is that the art cards are these:

They were given out at the national at one of the booths.
