Buyer beware, modern auto seller eBay

Modern autograph collectors, please be aware of seller: watttl

Have gotten a few messages to look at some autos, and everyone, 100% is fake. Do not bid on this seller. Disregard feedback because I have found plenty of low feedback cards that are great.

I think anyone who posts that many autographs with zero feedback should automatically be red flagged. But some people have to learn the hard way.

He has multiple bids on his items.
There is a sucker born every minute and they flock to ebay.

Why wont they just donate their money to me?

I do not have feedback because I JUST JOINED EBAY LAST WEEK. My first sale went through 2 DAYS ago. Slander is not a pretty thing.

Well. call it what you like, but those autographs are awful. The Schmidts are HORRIBLE looking. If they are your ex's as you claim, then he left behind a bunch of garbage. Sorry.

Love how she just skates around the question towards the authenticity of the items, yet defends herself for having zero feedback because she's new.

We get you're new, what are your thoughts on every single fake autographed card you have for sale...

Particularly when you even mentioned in your original post to disregard the feedback.

Interested in hearing the response to the real question.

This made me laugh. :D

Yeah, everyone get your jollies picking on someone new and doing the best she can. If anything I sell is proven fake, I will refund. because that is the right thing to do. Instead of being jerks and laughing at me, how about you tell me how I can tell the fake stuff so I do not sell it?

Easy. Don't buy anything from South Florida.

You're welcome.

I didn't know the difference, though admittedly I don't know if I have used either term in conversation so I haven't needed to know. Thanks to your post, though, I looked them up and I have learned my new thing for the day.

Seriously, autographs are a nasty area, sadly. This site has a section near the top of the main page, where people post autographs for opinions. Never sell anything u don't know is likely good. This is the best resource u will ever find for people who help out. At least you say you will refund. Its just sorry that u got stuck w garbage

So let me understand this, even if they are your ex boyfriend's cards, what gives you the right to sell them? Are you a forger or a thief?

watttl 08-02-2013 06:28 AM

wow. really? He left a bunch of stuff at my place and ran off with one of my friends. I have not heard from him and am assuming he has abandoned them. He still owes me money for loans and I am taking what he owes me out of this. I am neither of the labels you chose to assign me.

thecatspajamas 08-02-2013 07:52 AM

Tiffany,

For better or worse, it appears that your boyfriend's collection contains a large percentage of fakes and forgeries. If you are serious about only wanting to offer legit autographs for sale, there are a number of knowledgable members here who would be glad to advise which are real and which are not before you post them on eBay. Some are more tactful when offering advice than others, but please understand that you are not the first eBay seller that has been spotted with fake signatures, and some of these guys are just fed up with any forgeries being offered as legit (even if unintentionally). More often than not, questions to these eBay sellers go unanswered, which leads to a lot of snap judgements. Hopefully, since you have already been brazen enough to respond here, you will also take the advice regarding the autographs you have for sale seriously. If you have any problems with posting scans here, I or one of the other board members would be glad to help with that as well.

why do good girls like bad boys?

Why would you loan the douche bag money?

Just burn the crap and tell him you gave it away.

Sell his clothes instead, less drama or burn those too and chalk it up to a learning experience.
