Pirates Game Worn Pants 1949
 

It's a long shot, but I came across this auction listing while doing some research for my aunt. Her husband, Pete Castiglione, played for the Pirates from '47-'53. The auction from December 2006 is for a 1968 Pirates jersey (#5) and for unknown reasons was paired with pants from 1949 which appear to have been worn by my uncle.

In the off chance that anyone here knows the whereabouts of these pants, I'm extremely interested in finding them.

Saw your post, and while I do not have information concerning the pants, I thought you'd be interested that Pete signed a 1951 Bowman card for me through the mail several years ago, and he enclosed a short note on an index card. I'd be happy to scan them for you if you are interested in the pics. He seemed to be a gracious man.

I realize it's just a consolation prize, but if you're interested, I have a pair of '48 Pirates pants I'd part with.
