Is there a 1950 Cuban Willy Mays Rookie
 

I just picked up this page from the 1950-51 Acebo Cuban baseball album. Included is an image of the 20 year old Willie Mays who was set to play for the team for the winter season but was injured and never appeared in a game. What is interesting is that these are are the images that were used for a set of cards issued for the company. So is there somewhere floating around Cuba a card of Willie that would qualify as a rookie or would it have been found by now. Remember the Josh Gibson 1951 Puerto Rican league card was only found in the last couple of years

Mays is only in the album as far as I know.

I believe that Kenny is correct, only appears in the album. Wish a card did exist though......

Why don't you just cut it out real neat and submit it for grading? That seems to be the latest fad and it will probably be worth more than the page it came from. Then you'll have something all the Willie Mays collectors will suddenly need for a master collection.:rolleyes:
