Babe Ruth Signed Baseball Drew Max Video

Check this out:

joed25 02-15-2014 06:31 PM

Good video. What a joke.

thetruthisoutthere 02-15-2014 06:48 PM

According to Marc Goldman, President AAU, "Drew Max has only been wrong twice."

That's freakin' hilarious!!!

daves_resale_shop 02-15-2014 06:51 PM

Video

"wrong twice that I know of"

hysterical!

dapro 02-15-2014 06:54 PM

Drew Maxx is a joke that is why Pawn star used another guy now on the show.

Big Dave 02-15-2014 07:06 PM

AAU did the right thing and offered the guy what he paid for the ball, but the guy turned that down and demanded a ball worth 50,000. That is just plain stupid and he gets neither.

RichardSimon 02-15-2014 08:55 PM

The buyer of the ball is a Grade A idiot.
Spending $1450 on something he obviously knows nothing about and thinking he can then turn it into $50K and turning down a chance to get even on the dumb shit thing he did.
Hey idiot buyer, I got a deed to the George Washington Bridge, signed by George Washington and Chris Christie. Let's make a deal, you can surely make a profit on it.

Maybe he saw two things that were good and he said they were bad.

HOFAUTOS 02-15-2014 10:39 PM

Anyone notice how bad Goldman was shaking?

Yep, he should have accepted the $1450.00.

Definitely. Time to cut your losses at that point and move on.

roarfrom34 02-16-2014 08:11 AM

isn't offering the guy the $1450 an admission of guilt?

Yes to the above and turning it down is an admission of stupidity.

I disagree that there's never a authentic autograph. You must have never looked then!

Good point, Brock.

Is a true autograph collector going to submit their authentic autographs to Drew Max for authentication?

I think not.

I'm not sure what you are asking, Brock?

perezfan 02-16-2014 02:04 PM

Here's another Drew Max beauty, currently on ebay. Amazing how those three Legends signed in a perfect horizontal line across the barrel of the bat.

Nope... no tip off there

yanks12025 02-16-2014 02:06 PM

Chris,
I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm referring to fudd sayings there's never a real autograph on auctionzip. Then you rely back to me about Drew max.

no Brock, I've seen plenty there...all I need to see. The platform is so embedded with forgeries it is pathetic. If you want to try to find the needle in the haystack there, be my guest. Personally, I wouldn't by a THING from that site that PROMOTES and perpetuates the sale of forgeries....You go right ahead, though. I could care less. That's why it's America and we have our opinions. I'm not wasting my time going through thousands of OBVIOUS FORGERIES from ESTATE SALES..on Auction ZIP, where NOTHING is real....ZIP!

daves_resale_shop 02-16-2014 03:29 PM

AAU could always replace it with this certified beauty listed on ebay!!!

Again you obviously don't know! I just went on and found MANY items that are real. So how can you say there's NOTHING REAL. And the site is a place for LOCAL Auctions to post their items of upcoming auctions, so most of it is not from estate sales. It's not their job to police every single small auction house in America.

thetruthisoutthere 02-16-2014 04:26 PM

Love your rants and venting, Fudd.

Reminds me of the old 60 minutes interviews when Mike Wallace was sitting with some shady executive or politician and they were sweating bullets. :D

When confronted with the age of the ball making it impossible for Ruth to sign it, Goldman stuck to his guns.

"Who you gonna believe? Me or your lying eyes?"

GrayGhost 02-16-2014 05:45 PM

Thanks Chris. Im also glad Pawn Stars uses Steve Grad now. they musta figured out this WPOS Max is garbage.

The seller has a very large feedback number.
I believe those types of sellers have their own ebay reps and attempts to remove their items get sabotaged.
The ball sold for $4K,, damn.

khw 02-17-2014 09:16 PM

i am kinda speechless , i just turned in 2 minutes ago, at one time i could get a item pulled within 1 hour, and rich no top sellers dont have reps anymore at least i dont they cut back, ebay has cut back on all the stuff , i find it hard to believe one of you guys or many of folks didnt report this , lets see if my email got it pulled , if it doesnt i wont send in another item just a joke

khw 02-18-2014 09:28 AM

ok well at least they pulled it after i turned in but it is hard to imagine that could make it through a whole auction and enough time for someone to pay

Wow, this story gets even better.

The buyer of that Babe Ruth forgery, now has it listed on Ebay with full disclosure.

Ebay seller 410fiveofus writes "If anyone is looking for a beautiful Babe Ruth ball with a real COA for your baseball collection ONLY, this may be it."

He purchased it for $1450.00. Now he's looking to make a profit on his newly-purchased forgery.

Honesty has to count for something, and there is always CC.

thetruthisoutthere 03-02-2014 11:23 AM

The seller's location is Maryland.

I'm wondering if the seller is listing it for Jim Clemmons.

thetruthisoutthere 03-02-2014 11:45 AM

Ebay has removed that listing.

earlywynnfan 03-02-2014 11:57 AM

So in the end, the collector has the same scruples as the authenticator. A match made in heaven!
