Canada guys- re Canada Post
Hit the P.O. today to try to send an insured ($50) package to the U.S. The gal said they don't do Insured, tracking, signature required any more, you have to use a courier or Express Post......and she said that would cost around $45. I live in a small town and it is very possible she has her information wrong....at least I hope so. Any recent experiences for you folks?

I've only sent one bubble mailer from U.S. to Canada recently and yes, not able to insure via 1st class mail and about 5 times the postage. I can send the same package within the U.S. for $1.93 and I think this one cost me about $9-$10.
Oh, and it got hung up in customs for about a week!! |
Honestly Grant, that doesn't surprise me. I haven't tried to insure anything bound for the US via Canada Post in many years. The last time I tried...maybe 3-4 years ago...Canada Post wouldn't do it and I had to use a courier. It wasn't cheap. I haven't done it since.
