Storage pages
I have some BCW and am not pleased with the way the pages hold the cards. The slots don't seem quite large enough.
What are your thoughts or preferences? |
Alex, I haven't started building sets yet. But when I do, the only sheets I will ever use are the Ultra Pro Platinum series. They are the gold standard for baseball card sheets.
http://www.ultrapro.com/product_list.php?cPath=68 And the albums, Ultra Pro reinforced D ring series. Foam padding, and designed to withstand cold, so there's no cracking. http://www.ultrapro.com/product_info...oducts_id=1318 I like the Cardboard Gold Card Savers Is. Everything else I use is Ultra Pro. |
Thanks, Bill. I am building a non-sports set with my wife and the BCW pages were a huge disappointment. I am not a fan of their products in general at this point.

I've been slowly abandoning pages altogether for cards. I think 3-4 binders left.
Unless a binder is full, they slump and the bottom outside card gets bent. And if the binder is too full, sometimes the ones on the inside edge by the rings get damaged. And having a bunch of them on a shelf when they're not an even thickness means they want to push the middle ones or end ones off the shelf. Ultra pro are the best though if you like pages. I do use binders for stamps, and I either use some black background stockpages or make my own pages and put them inside ultrapro one pockets. (Or simple sheet protectors if I don't have ultrapros handy.) I've used and still have almost all the pages that were commonly available since 1974. You should see those 74 pages! They make even the Malaysian ones look good. Very tight page, sideload, with two rows pointing at each other. Yes, so close the cards touch. Steve B |
display your binders with the "D" rings at the top to prevent damage to your cards.

I know I saw something recently, but can't find it now, what type of ultra pro page would I use if I want to keep cards in top-loaders and then put them in binder pages?
