Status on New SGC Flip?

Anyone know when SGC is going to come out with their new green border flip?

I know months ago people were predicting that they would have the new one out by now...I'm getting awfully anxious waiting to submit :D

It will probably be unveiled at the National next week
Sounds like a good marketing idea

That's a good point. Wish I was going this year. Anyone know where it's going to be next year? I would love if The National came to NYC sometime in the near future.

The closest the National is going to come near NYC, between now and 2018, is Atlantic City in 2016. I hope to make it - it would be my first. See ya there!

Why in the world would SGC already be changing their flip, with the new one just out on the market? I really don't buy into the holder thing anyway, but that seems kind of crazy....

As mentioned, AC in 2016 is your best bet. Due to costs, I doubt NYC would even be discussed as a possible site. For a larger show, don't forget about White Plains, even though it's not even close to a comparison.

Thanks guys. Well Atlantic City isn't too far away, although I may gamble my card money away

It will be similar but have a green border around it.

I know I'm in the minority but I actually like the new flip.

the-illini 07-24-2014 07:58 PM

The flip can be neon purple for all I care if it came with a gasket that actually held the cards in place.

When you submit to SGC, you can always pay extra for a custom gasket that exactly fits the card. This is what I've done for some die cuts I have.
