1981T Doug Bird #516 'Red Squiggle"
 

Sorting thru some '81 Topps today & noticed out of the 7 Birds I have, 2 have this "red squiggle" or "Red >" on the left border.

Anyone ever seen these or heard of it mentioned before?

Not listed in any ERR/VAR lists that I have seen. Curious to know who has 'em?

Good find Fred, hadn't noticed it before. On COMC, 2 of the 5 there had the red squiggle. Most of the ebay listings are stock image listings, so it is tough to gauge from there.

I'm pretty sure I have that one.

When I went through the big batch of 81 Topps I have I found some little thing on a lot of cards, maybe 1/3- 1/2 the set. I still haven't found the notes I took, but I know they'll turn up somewhere.
