VERY RARE UNIQUE JACKIE ROBINSON SIGNED/INSCRIBED POST CARD/PHOTO WITH VERY STRONG SIGNATURE
Postcard-size real-photo promotional advertising card featuring Jackie Robinson as a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers, signed by Robinson on the front.

Robinson has inscribed the photo "Best Wishes/Jackie Robinson" in blue ink.
A facsimile inscription, in black print along the bottom white border, reads "Sincerely Yours,/Jackie Robinson."

This photo was a promotional piece issued by the Jackie Robinson Clothing Store, a men's apparel store located in Harlem that Robinson owned.
While the store is not mentioned by name, the printing on the reverse reads "Uptown New York's Most Complete Men's Store," and includes the business address: "111 West 125th Street/New York 27, N.Y."
Robinson opened his men's store (at the location listed, which was in the heart of Harlem's shopping district) in December 1952. The store remained in business for six years before closing in 1958.

In addition to being a rare signed souvenir from Robinson's short-lived business venture, this piece has a special provenance: The mailing envelope by which it was obtained is included. The photo is in Excellent to Mint condition.
3.5" x 5.5" Photo and 4" x 7.5" Envelope. LOA from PSA/DNA.
$2250/OBO Shipped!
