Hi Joe,

I had a handful of these, including Cobb & Jennings etc, but with no print on them, and I got them from the Halper on-line portion of his collection. Yours is the first one I have seen with print, and the first one I've seen outside the Halper group. Also, they appear to be from 1907. Is there a year in the fine print of yours?

Thanks,
Bryan Dec

Wow, that card is sweet. (I'm biased as a Detroit fan, but still, cool as hell.)

Looks like whoever owned it was OCD about the shape of home plate. Cool "card." ;-)

Hi Joe,

Here's a photo copy of the Cobb that I had, which was about 15 years ago, and it originated from Barry Halper.

Regards,
Bryan

It is similar, not sure if the same source. The cards I have are a heavy cardboard material. Your Cobb is much longer also. Maybe the Cobb is a proof before making the final copy.

I have no idea what it is, but I really like it. Can I ask where you found it? Also, what are the dimensions?

4 1/2" x 6 3/4" and it looks like someone trimmed the corners for some reason. Purchased on ebay with some postcards about 15 years ago.

Hi Joe,

The Cobb does appear to be a printer's proof, it measured 4-1/4" x 10-1/2", and they color tinted the belts, hat logos, and the name on the uniforms in this series.

Thanks,
Bryan
