Custom for the great-great grandson of a major league baseball player

Hey guys!
It has been a while since I have posted, because I haven't really had anything to post that is pre-war, until now. I know many folks here were irked if I posted something post-war, and didn't want to step on any toes. This just might fit the bill, though!

Someone reached out to me a few weeks back – his great-great grandfather actually played baseball. It took a long time, but he was able to secure a signature on a letter, along with his 1900 cabinet card.

The signature is embedded, and the picture is from a scan of the cabinet card. I made a mini out of it to fit well with the design. Check it out! This is an oversized card, and fits PERFECTLY in a one-touch vertical booklet holder.

These are some of my favorite types of cards to create, because they have to do with family ... the fact that this family member played baseball made it even cooler.

I made several other cards as well, but since they are not pre-war, I'll refrain from showing them here. Thanks for looking & reading!

I say show them or else post them over on the memorabilia side. We're less judgmental over there. ;)

Very cool card man. I like the design and how you only focused on Murphy in the group shot. Nice job.

Great Work

This is a terrific effort. It sure looks nice and I'm sure the family is very pleased.

Well done, it looks great & something the great great grandson can pass down to his kids

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the kind remarks.

That card is remarkably well done. I have no qualms saying your design work is better than some of the guys getting paid by the bigger card companies.

I think that Mitchell and Ness in Philadelphia still makes replicas of MLB sweaters from the early 20th century.

Thanks again guys! This isn't pre-war but it is close.

This one *just* missed the article, so I figured I'd post it here.

When life gives you lemons (a bent up oversized Mantle signed thingy) make lemonade! (Jumbo Cut Signature Card!)
