Please keep the following in mind when bidding today (our rules are different than many other auction houses and ebay):

(1) The ten minute rule will kick in at 11 PM EST. In the unlikely event the auction goes as late as 1:30 AM EST, there is a 5% late night bidding supplement for NEW bids placed after that time (this does not apply to max bids placed up to 1:29 AM); at 2:30 AM, the supplement is 10%. THE ENTIRE AUCTION ENDS AT THE SAME TIME. PLEASE NOTE THIS AUCTION TENDS TO END MUCH EARLIER THAN OUR OTHER AUCTIONS SO DO NOT GET SHUT OUT TONIGHT.

(2) Bidders who bid on 10 or more lots can bid on any lot at any time. Lots without bids can be bid on by anyone at any time.

(3) There are no tie bids, one cannot bid $100 with a max of $110, the max would need to be $121 (the bid tracker spells out the increments).

(4) Invoices are emailed at the end of the auction

If you have any questions about maximum bids or any of our other rules, please call or email us during the auction as issues cannot be resolved once the auction has closed. As long as the auction is live, we are available with telephone support and for phone bidding. Also, please always be sure to check your email for outbid notices and also check your bid tracker and/or call us; max bids are never a guarantee of a winning bid while the auction is still live.

Detailed Auction Description
The current auction is one of our major auctions. One of the very best that we have offered, we want to thank our many loyal consignors and bidders for making this possible.
The auction has some super high-end lots and a tremendous diversity of fresh material.

We open the auction with six vital lots, a 1915 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson PSA 5, two each of the 1951 Bowman and 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle cards and a top 10 1961 Topps Registry Set, all 8 and higher.

We continue with baseball card singles. These go back to the 19th century, highlights include an 1888 Yum Yum Sam Thompson, two Bregstone postcards, a great run of 1914 and 1915 Cracker Jack HOFers, including two Wagners, two Lajoies, Cobb, Mathewson and a 1914 Chance.

We also have a T213 Ty Cobb SGC 6, a pair of 1933 Goudey Babe Ruths, a 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig PSA 7 and a Luke Appling Diamond Stars original artwork.

Baseball card sets and lots start with T206s and go through 1971 Topps. Unusual items include a 1921 Schapira Babe Ruth set, 1935 and 1936 Wheaties sets, a near 1947-66 Exhibit set with all keys, a 1952 Royal Desserts set, a 1953 Dixie Lid Premiums set and a 1983 Topps vending case.
Baseball autographs include a Ned Hanlon signed contract from 1897, an incredible rare Andy Copper (Negro League HOFer, D’1941) signed photo, several very early Roberto Clemente autographs, a full Cy Young 8x10, a fine Babe Ruth 8x10, Frankie Frisch’s 1934 Cardinals player-manager contract, Yogi Berra’s 1960 Yankees player contract, a Roberto Clemente single signed glove, an amazing 1972 Yankees fully signed yearbook with Thurman Munson and some beautiful modern enormous size giclees and prints signed by Derek Jeter and other modern Yankees.

Other special highlights of the auction include a 1962 Post Cereal football set, a 1966 Philadelphia football cello pack and many fine earlier 1950s era football autographs.

We are honored to work with the personal collection of 1990s Phillies star Wes Chamberlain, we have some terrific items here, including a 1993 World Series game jersey, many 1993 World Series bats and many team signed items as well.

Baseball memorabilia includes some 1960s flannel uniforms, several fine ticket singles and lots from the 1920s through the 1960s and quality pubs going back to 1901 including several 1920s World Series programs and a high grade 1951 Eddie Gaedel program.

Signed baseball conclude the auction. We have a fresh Babe Ruth single, an incredibly rare Elston Howard single, a nice Roger Maris and a nice Connie Mack. Team signed baseball go back to 1930 and are very strong in Yankee balls, with many Championship teams and we also have some fine All Star Balls as well. There are some beautiful condition balls here and amazingly, 1976 and 1978 Yankees team balls with no clubhouse signatures.
