He "believes it's original"

And I believe I'm Brad Pitt but it doesn't make it true!

I am (only a little) surprised that a seller with that feedback (very good) is selling that kind of card with that kind of disclaimer :). It's ebay. Where we aren't happy unless you aren't happy.

No, but I have been confused with Bob Saget MANY times!

Philosophically/cosmically, I once said "It doesn't matter what you think is. It only matters what is."

That's pretty deep, David. I think that is another form of "it is what it is", which I use often. And his 52 Mick couldn't garner a buck ninety five bid.

I often say "It is what it is." People have called it an empty cliche, but I think it speaks perfectly to situations.

Another version of it could be "Everyone has an opinion."

It reminds me of a quote attributed to Sen. Daniel Moynihan: "You're entitled to your own opinion, but you're not entitled to your own facts."

If you really believed it to be original, wouldn't it make more sense to authenticate and sell for $8K than to shrug your shoulders and let it go for $1.95.

Surprised it didn't sell. There's a sucker born every minute. Must not be that impressive of a fake.

The birthing of suckers evidently leapfrogged the closing minute of the auction.

It didn't "not sell"...He ended the auction...probably got an offer to end the auction early. The suckers are alive and well, and will be sorely disappointed.
