Babe Ruth 40K Bat - Louisville Center branding
 

Hello everyone,

We have a 40k Babe Ruth Game Used bat. We have done so much research and bought every book and looked at as many center branding from LS since it's conception.

We want to be accurate in the description and can't seem to find any center branding with similar positioning of the "MADE IN U.S.A" branding. We are receiving more opinions and was wondering who has more information.

We have "A Complete Reference Guide" book and from the MEARS report for this bat it states it's consistent with the page 17 C5-A description, but we do not agree with that. In that description in the book it states "All variations of C-5 (A-F) have "M" in "MADE IN U.S.A." directly below the second "I" in "HILLERICH" and above the "U" in "LOUISVILLE, K.Y.". Compare it to C-4."

If you look at this center branding the "M" in "MADE IN U.S.A." is not above the "U", but above the both "I" in "HILLERICH" and in "LOUISVILLE, K.Y.".

Any help or points or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Looks a lot like a 1923-25 era center label.
