PSA Declared Values

Hi. No experience with PSA grading. Question: I've been using the price guide on PSA's website to estimate declared values. Some of the prices seem a little low to me. Is this legit... or is there some other way to determine value? Dropping off at the National and I want this to go smoothly. TIA.

Since no one has answered you yet, you can search the engine using the word "declared" and get many previous threads.

But main gist: I recommend declaring the value to be the price you would have to pay to buy a card in the same raw condition on the open market (raw replacement value). If you are always pricing in a PSA 9 or PSA 10, you'll be WAAAAY overestimating the values of your cards, and paying a ridiculous sum to submit to PSA. If you happen to get a card value drastically (like nearly double the declared limit for the service level), then PSA will contact you and upcharge you to a higher grouping.

Most modern card submitters use a PSA 8 or PSA 9 price as the declared value for a raw card.
