Dusty Baker great Regular Season manager, terrible Post Season manager.

25 years as a manager.

11 trips to the Post Season.

Never won a World Series.

Probably left him in too long.......typical Post Season blunder by Dusty.

Peter_Spaeth 10-11-2022 04:15 PM

Yeah he struggled what was it two years ago as well. Small sample size I guess. He was sure lit up today.

Not Baker's fault his ace couldn't get anyone out.

Did someone mention Kershaw? We'll see.;)

frankbmd 10-11-2022 05:12 PM

This MVP slugged .143 in the postseason of his MVP year, but did not strikeout.

Two words: Steve Bartman

No, but you have to be able to read when your pitcher doesn't have it.

Oh well, all worked out in the end.

Houston is headed to the World Series.

Yeah that was insane.

Bartman yes, but that was Game 6. Dusty blew Game 7. Let's Kerry Wood allow 7 earned runs in 5 innings.

Again, let his starter go way too long. If they don't have it they don't have.

isiahfan 10-11-2022 07:56 PM

Just didn't have it today....same as Mad Max...but his team bailed him out. Anothr thing...the M's have seen him 6 times or so this year and gave him one of his 4 L's....my guess would be he will do much better in his next start.

Of course it will. It will be versus the Yankees : )

Fun Fact:

Justin Verlander is 4-1 versus the Yankees in the postseason in his career.

Cy Kershaw nailed it. That is, he put another nail in his postseason coffin.

For him it was a decent post season outing.

Sounds like Dusty Baker is the new Don Zimmer.

Kershaw actually had the better outing than Yu, but Yu gets the W, crazy how that goes sometimes....

Believe it or not, in only two games Judge is knocking at the door of the postseason flop house.

Zero for Eight with Seven whiffs and One walk.

It’s too early to unlock the dead bolt.

Maybe he is trying to figure out what rhymes with Guardian.

Hint: Try Edwardian

And quite possibly his only post season outing.

After today’s tilt, Dodger Stadium may have to be shut down until the Besame Mucho Festival on December 3rd. Tickets only $393. See y’all there.

Assuming Paul Goldschmidt is the NL MVP, another MVP vastly underperformed in they playoffs. He went 0-7 with 4 strikeouts and a hit by pitch.

I know, but I did look it up...so I won't reveal unless you say it's okay.

No. I was wrong, the one I thought it was struck out 7 times, but he did slug .143- do I get partial credit?

mikemb 10-15-2022 06:40 PM

Judge just hit a 2 run home run.

Mike

Now, I have it. His nickname is the same as the first name of a player who once hit 4 homers in a single game.

Great hint! Was he an announcer for a long time?

frankbmd 10-16-2022 08:21 AM

Sponge Bob faces the Judge today. If Sponge Bob prevails, I predict Judge's next home run will be in April.
