The Weight - Featuring Ringo Star - Playing for Change

I have watched this a few times and thought others might enjoy it, if you haven't seen it. Pretty good stuff.
I saw Robbie Robertson in a dive in Dallas TX, some 25 yrs ago. Great guitarist.

Thanks for posting. While I had seen it before, it is so special. Love it. Music can cure a lot of bad things.

I do, however, miss me some Levon Helm.

Listen To the Music

Playing For Change has some great songs.

One of my favorites.....The Doobies' "Listen to the Music"

I didn't really discover "The Last Waltz" concert documentary by Scorsese, until a couple years ago or so for some reason, and I think I've watched it 5 or 6 times since.

There's also a fantastic documentary about "The Band" on Hulu called "Once Were Brothers".

The studio version will never be surpassed, in large part due to the ethereal piano work and beautiful pauses, but this new version I have come to like as much as the one in Last Waltz with the great Mavis Staples. It's very well thought out and nuanced.

"When the Levee Breaks" featuring John Paul Jones is pretty good as well.

I remember watching this when it first came out. Lifted my spirits.
