Over the years, I had the opportunity to purchase a few collections. Back in the late 90’s the brother of a colleague of mine was disenchanted with his job and made the decision to join a farming commune in North Carolina. Ah, youth. The colleague was aware of my sickness and stated that her brother was looking to sell the collection of their deceased Uncle. She brought the baseball cards to work, and I looked them over. Nothing exciting; no Black Swamp find, just kid handled cards from the 50’s. I offered a fair price and the brother accepted. Little, did I know what else was included in the collection, early Orioles yearbooks and programs, ticket stubs (one for the game of Mantle’s 17th home run) and oddball stuff like the material below. The material has been sitting in the cigar box I received for the last 25 years.

I have been cleaning up and would like to sell the lot.

Shoot me a fair offer (plus shipping). Condition is poor to VG maybe a few EX. Let me know if you need specifics for any set of cards.

Lot details:

1964 Kennedy cards (8)
1954 World of Wheels (22)
1953 Large State/Country License Plate cards (25)
1952 Wings cards (7)
1952 Look N See cards (103)
1951 Ring Side (8)
1951 Jets and Rockets card (Mantis Man)
1950 Hopalong Cassidy cards (4)
1950 Small - State License Plate cards (39)
1950 Candy Felt College Pennants (9)

Raiders of the Lost Ark (6)
Mork and Mindy (10)
The Partridge Family (5)
Welcome Back Kotter (6)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (7)
Wacky Packages checklist (4)

A grand total of 245 cards and 9 felt pennants.

I might keep the Mantis Man card. It is a beater but how can one sell a card of Mantis Man?

Thanks for looking.

ps - brother did the commune thing for a year or so and came back and got back into IT has a programmer.
