Been 11 years lost and I found it today !

I misplaced my T206 Joe Tinker portrait 11 years ago and yes...I found it an hour ago. A stunning beauty PSA 5 dead centered , great boarders and an Piedmont 150. The 150's look so much nicer then the 350's and it is 'BLOOD RED', YAY !

I bought this card from Steve Verkman as a EM over 30 yrs ago, sold it twice and bought it back lastly from Tony Andrea who had bought my last 2 Tinker Portraits and the other was a PSA 6.5 that looked better then the 2 8's that showed up in the last years. Though I am happy to find it , it is sold to a good man who will enjoy this card....sad to see it go, but Thomas will be one happy camper and so glad that he'll have it in his nice collection. Ya don't find too many Tinker Portraits like it.

So nice when they turn up. I 'misplaced' a Brian May (Queen guitarist) autograph for years that I recently found in a stack of COAs. Apparently, I put the signed item in the COA and filed them away together.

I once had a PSA 8 1965 Brock go missing for years. I found it when I was packing to move. I must have dropped it at some point and it went straight down a crack between two boxes (a shot you could not hit 1/100 of the time if you tried) and sat there for years. Which proves that I need to clean more.

That's great you found it!
But in four years are you going to think to yourself "where is that Tinker" forgetting you sold it?

Perhaps a new 'Collectorism' is warranted...

I just moved and cannot find any of my memorabilia reference books that I packed away 6 months ago.

I remain hopeful.

So where was it hiding all this time and how did you happen to find it?

12-15 years ago I had a stack of 4 SGC t206s on my desk disappear. There were some HVAC guys coming and going that week and I blamed them. 6 months or so later we’re moving to our first house and the last room we moved was the baby’s. I pull out his mattress and find one under the mattress. I start searching his room and I find another under a dresser and a third down the floor vent. The last one missing a Matty Portrait. I was still searching when the landlord came to get the keys. So if you are renting a townhouse in Nashville right now, there is a non zero it might have a t206 hidden in it.

Congrats on finding it. I think I would have had to keep that personally just for the unique story.

Bedrooms

I SOLD A GREAT GROUP OF Cards TO GREG SCHWARTZ , INCLUDED WAS A RED COBB, BAT OFF COBB AND A T205 WALTER JOHNSON AND 3 OTHERS ( NOT REMEMBERING) AND I MISSPLACED THE TINKER PORT, IT WASNT FOR SALE AND YTHOUGH I KNEW I DINT SEND IT TO HIM I STILL HAD TO ASK HIM IF I ACCIDENTLY SEND IT?...HE SAID NO TWICE, MEANWHILE MY WIFE HAD 2 ANCESTORS STUFF GO INTO THAT SAME ROOM AND CLUTTERED IT, SO IF I FOUND IT IT WOULD BE THIS ROOM ONLY...WELL IT IS FOUND AND i WILL HAVE PICS IN THE NEXT 3 DAYS, THANK YOU !
