Posted By: fkw
M.F. Tobin of NY made a few baseball tradecard sets. The Baby Kelly is found in the set known as H804-1B "Baby Talk Series" from 1889. There are actually 4 different "Baby Talk" sets "H804-1A, H804-1B, H804-1C, H804-1D), but the only set to have the Tobin ID (and the Anson, Kelly etc.) is the H804-1B set. The other Tobin sets are the popular H804-22 (also known as H891), and 1 other related sets H804-23 B&W. There is also a single Tobin tradecard known as "#214" small 1881 card with dog, US flag, and player hit by bat. The H804-1B "Baby Talk" Baby Kelly is a fairly common card as far as victorian tradecards go. Frank
