Friendly reminder about the NET54 National Dinner

Posted By: leon
Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will be getting a final RSVP about 3 weeks before the National. The dinner will be on that Friday (7/29/05). It is going to be a nice, $25 buffet, plus your bar tab/drinks. That should include the tip/tax too. You won't have to eat the buffet (or pay for it) but I sincerely hope that almost everyone does. It will make it much easier on everyone. Right now I told the restaurant about 60-75 folks however with that last RSVP I will firm that number up....best regards

Damn TV died on me and spent more than I should have on the TV, but ya gotta have priorities and new TV that can also double as a computer monitor trumps card collecting.

If I win the lottery, I'll be able to make it. Guess I better start buying tickets

Jay

I like to sit outside drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Posted By: Ted Zanidakisc
Leon,

I would love to join you guys. During my working years I have
enjoyed many visits to Chicago. Been to Wrigley & old Comiskey.
And just two blocks away from Comiskey a really great Baby Back
Rib place called the Hickory Pit.

Anyhow, I will be up at Cooperstown for the HOF weekend as I've
been since the early '80s. We have a great little BB card show
up there every year; and, anyone who has attended will tell you
that it is really a great gathering. The admission is free, the
BaseBall conversations are terrific, buying - selling - trading
is brisk, and the Sat. nite Auction is amazing. Last year I got
a T206 UZIT for only $25. A few years ago I got a 1904 Buffalo
Bisons (Int. Lge) team card for a very reasonable trade. That's
just the type of show it is.

The point I'm trying to make here is that those idiots that run
the National should check the calendar because the past four or
five years in a row they have conflicted with the HOF weekend.
I don't understand this type of ignorance, or is it arrogance?
