Posted By: Dan
Now here is a topic that is worth discussing. Wasted of a really neat item, I am really regretting not buying this item when I had the chance. It would have most certainly STAYED IN TACT as it was meant to be. This stinks!!!!!!

At least it looks as if they are taking care to not damage the cards any more than they were.

Posted By: barrysloate
Thanks- oh that box. I think it was a trunk. When you said box, I was picturing a label from a cigar box. I think it was pretty clear that those cards weren't destined to stay intact. There is always someone with a grandiose plan to break something up and hit it big.

Posted By: brian p
I think the seller's ebay ID hints at his modus operandi -- piecesofthegame.

I just had a great idea. Perhaps Topps could buy up vintage bb cards, like they did for the T206's, but instead of encapsulating them complete, they could put them through the shredder and offer authentic strips of famous cards like these Mayo's or even the T206 Wagner. What an exciting twist on the insert craze!

Brian
