How does a person make sure they are in fact getting a 1914 instead of a 1915 since they look the same. <br />Thank you......

Posted By: <b>Anthony</b><p>'14's are on a bit thinner stock (doesn't help much slabbed or from a scan) and the back of '14's state 144 cards, the '15's say 176 cards and have a mail in offer for the set. <br />Don't trust slabbed cards completely to get the year right either- I've had several that were wrong

But, I would have to figure that a few go out the back door without the sticky caramel goo.<br /><br />The 1915 CJs were available both inside boxes of CJ and via some type of other offer. <br /><br />The 1914 CJs are more scarce because they were only available by when a box of CJ was purchased. This is why you'll see less 1914s available (supply) as opposed to 1915 CJs. Thus the price difference between the two years of CJs. Supply and demand.<br /><br />One last note, this is also why you'll see less nicer condition 1914 CJs available.
