I've Long Been Curious Regarding Memory Lane

Posted By: Paul Moss
Nothing earth shattering, but some time ago, I was researching T206's in PRO holders. Whenever they appear on ebay, I hope against all hope that there might be an "untouched" gem that slips through all of your eagle eyes and enables my humble self to, for want of a better term, make a score.

I made specific note of this lot from quite some time ago. The item # is 8752751085, the seller goes by the name of walkoffhomer, who had an assortment of vintage PRO cards. Well when one clicks on the properties of the pics, low and behold, they come from Memory Lane. So I went over the seller's feedback, and there's a bunch of positives from Memory Lane! OK, other than the obvious, I made a note to avoid this seller, but since certain information has been posted on the board, I went back and checked walkoffhomer's former ebay names. Guess what, is this the Twilight Zone? Walkoffhomer used to be ChartitableInc !!!!!!!! Coincidence? Sure! Freakin' amazing coincidence!

Posted By: Dan Bretta
I would just like to say that I have purchased photos from Henry Yee on at least three occasions well aware that he has been accused of shilling in the past and there was nothing odd going on in any of the purchases that I made....all of the underbidders were names I recognized or did not appear to be shills.

Posted By: barrysloate
Dan- I don't want to say anything specific about Henry Yee because I do not know him personally, but people who do shill don't do it all the time because they will more easily get caught. They pick their spots when needed. Buying a few photos doesn't provide enough information concerning a person's business ethics. You need to study the whole picture. Again, please note I am just making a general statement.

There have been some accusations on this board in the past, but my experience has always been on the up and up with Henry. Others may have a different experience and they should share that if it's true.

For the record I sat next to him at the first Mastro/National dinner a few years ago. He was very pleasant..and had a cute girlfriend
