Posted By: <b>Joe D.</b><p>I never really kept a list of what I was spending on vintage stuff. <br /><br />Just purchased when I had money - and sold when I didn't.<br /><br /><br />Today, I decided to make a list of recent money spent and put it in a spreadsheet.<br /><br /><br />It was an eye-opening experience.<br /><br /><br />I spent way too much money in the last couple of months....<br />and the scary part is - I was thinking it has been a slow couple of months.<br /><br /><br />scary.

I may need a 12-step program

Posted By: <b>Bruce Mac</b><p>Joe,<br /><br />My advice: Don't keep a spreadsheet or look at the "Items won" section of my ebay. It can only lead to problems and guilt. Also, only tell the wife how much profit you made while selling your cards, not how much you spent.

I was surprised at how much it was when it was laid out in black and white. <br /><br />But it was helpful as months went on (b/c I list the date of purchase) to see where I was in a month so I could either put on the brakes a little or pick up something I wanted for a little more than I thought I could spend. <br /><br />Joann
