Posted By: Bryan Longfor those that may not or are wondering. The ads have the names at the top of the cards because the bottom of the card in most ads are cut off due to the design. When the bottom of the card shows then they put the names where they are suppose to be. Again, most of you probably assumed this, but I just thought I would throw it in there in case someone wanted to ask the question, but didn't. <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14> .

Posted By: Doug MooreHere are my additions to Brian's list Hindu New Orleans Daily Picayune 8/16/1909 Wadell and Dooin at the bottom of the elephant's trunk Old MIll 3/8/1910 Virginian Pilot 3/30/1910 Atlanta Constitution 4/19/1910 Augusta Herald 5/6/1910 Augusta Herald All Show Violat and another player you can't see as in all of the other old mill ads. All of the ads above are different but the cards remain the same. To me, these ads are the Holy Grail of the T 206 collector.

It's interesting that Piedmont used the same ad Layouts during this time, but I don't have any that show cards... Anyone have any other brand ads with cards showing? LMK Be well Brian

It is interesting to me to see what is offered on the ads. 2 Pictures of Famous Players 2 Pictures of Celebrated Baseball Players Baseball Pictures and a Valuable Coupon 2 Pictures of Distinguished Baseball Players 2 Pictures of Southern League Players I can add: 2 Pictures of Texas League Players Here is an Old Mill ad I got from a Texas newspaper. Unfortunately I can't find the date or newspaper it was from, but I think I have the information somewhere. If I find it, I'll post later. <img src="http://www.moviecard.com/auction1-jpgs/oldmillad-bbcards.jpg"> It is interesting to speculate that cigarette packs from certain southern areas were specially seeded with players from those areas, such as Southern League players and Texas League players. With the Old Mill packs, it makes me wonder if those cards in the packs were T206 or T210, even though the pictures in the ads seem to indicate they were T206. As Brian mentioned, there were a lot of Old Mill ads. I have seen at least 18 different Old Mill ad designs with baseball cards showing. Here is a list of some of these: The News - Frederick, MD - March 10, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - March 9, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - March 16, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - March 26, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - March 30, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - April 2, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - April 6, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - April 9, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - April 16, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - April 20, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - April 27, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - April 30, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - May 4, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - May 18, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - May 21, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - May 28, 1910 The Atlanta Constitution - June 1, 1910 All of the ads above show different designs though they all show the same baseball cards sticking out of the Old Mill pack. The Texas League ad I showed has the same ad design as the Atlanta Constitution ad of March 9, except the Atlanta Constitution ad says "Baseball pictures and a valuable coupon in each package" instead of "Texas League baseball pictures." If anyone else has more of these ads, this is an interesting topic to me.
