AM CONFUSED ABOUT NEW EBAY FEEDBACK SYSTEM

Posted By: bill latzko
recently there was a thread about the advantage to the buyer under the new feedback system of ebay (I think). I just sold a card for $750.00 and the buyer has not paid, nor has he responded to email or phone call follow-up. If I leave a negative, is it "worth it" since I guess I leave myself open for one back out of spite?? If not, how does one contact ebay for a non-paying bidder to either get paid or not pay the listing / seller fees??? thanks for any quick advice to a pretty basic situation. Peace bill latzko

Posted By: davidcycleback
If the buyer never pays and you win eBay's 'Non Payer' query (usually because the winner never responds to eBay), I believe eBay would remove any negative feedback the winner would give you. I'm pretty sure that if it's been documented that the winner didn't pay (via the official channel noted by Dan), the winner isn't allowed to give negative feedback on the transaction. eBay feels that negative feedback from the winner is unwarranted if the winner never paid, which is one eBay feedback policy that makes good sense.

Posted By: Jodi Birkholm
Yeah, he was! I remember that. He's a really nice, kind fellow. Nothing phony about him.

That 1968 Topps card of Parker was the first one I owned from the set. I still have it all these years later. I really should have Wes sign in for me. Wes' through-the-mail signing habits seem to be rather erratic for some reason. Perhaps it's a bad address, I'm not sure. He's acutally been a memorabilia dealer in the past--not sure how much he's doing in that department these days. But, in regards to signing autographs, he is very gracious and accommodating in person. I've actually heard him thank collectors for asking for his autograph. Too bad all players can't be this way.
