How many HOF cards will soon be in a PRO Holder?

Posted By: Lance
I can't believe what just happened. If this card isn't trimmed, it is probably a 3 at best. I have two cards running that have nicer corners, no wrinkle/creases, and won't come close to the final sale price. I just feel bad for the unlucky sole who just lost $1000.00.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280239035943&ssPa geName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=018

Posted By: Bob
I think PRO is good when it comes to only slabbing authentic cards, their problem is that they will grade incredibly trimmed cards and give them numerical numbers. I have a caramel card which I sent in on a lark a few years ago and it is very trimmed on top and came back EX.
If I bid on a PRO card (rarely do it), I will only bid what I think the card would bring in an SGC authentic holder.

Posted By: Michael Steele
While I do agree both companies value lies in the cost of recycled plastic, at least CSA made an attempt in the early days to be legit.

I recently crossed the last of my CSA red label tombs to SGC and they all crossed at .5 to 1 grade lower. This Cobb PRO card if not altered is at least 5 grades lower then the number. Mercy.

I do not even look at PRO because they are a joke but if I was looking at a super rare card in authentic that I had not seen in years and years then maybe...Nah, I would still probably pass.
