Default Storing Older Sets

This doesn't necessarily fall into the Pre WWII category, but I figured there would be some knowledge regarding the subject in this forum. I'm extremely close to completing a 1963 Topps set. A handful of the cards are graded, and I'll leave them as they are. I've placed the non-graded HOF / star cards in rigid holders, but my question lies with what is the best way to store the remainder of the set. It's currently housed in a binder with BCW PRO 9T sheets.

Is it ok to leave it in these sheets long term? If so, should it be stored vertically (like vinyl LPs) or flat? If the binder is a bad idea, any suggestions as to a better method? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark
