I always say:

Vintage: 1959 and older
Old cards: 1960's
Semi-old cards: 1970's
Recent cards: 1980's
Almost current cards: 1990's
Current cards: 2000+

I have been lately re-thinking this though, and i think 1960's are probably vintage now we are already in 2012.

I guess it shows my age when i go nuts over someone talking about a 1992 VINTAGE card!!!!
