Default Open for Bidding: Love of the Game Auctions

Hi everyone!

Just a quick note to let you all know that the Winter, 2014 Love of the Game Auction is now open for bidding.

I'm really proud of this one; it is loaded with high-quality material. A quick rundown of some of the key items:

• Beautiful 1946 signed Babe Ruth baseball with ironclad provenance
• The hobby's highest-graded E102 Honus Wagner (batting) - SGC EX/NM+ 82
• A rare 1923-24 Billiken Jose Mendez
• T206 Uzit Cigarettes Sam Crawford, SGC VG/EX 50
• 1915 Cracker Jack Ty Cobb, SGC 60
• Super rare T222 Fatima Walter Johnson, SGC 20
• A number of tough cabinet cards, Old Judges, and vintage memorabilia
• An enormous selection of T206s, including tough backs, Hall of Famers, higher grade cards, tough variations, and group lots
• A boatload of autographs

And to celebrate the Big Game, we've got our biggest-ever selection of football cards and memorabilia, including high-grade National Chicles, unopened backs, empty display boxes, autographs, and memorabilia.

The auction closes the day before the Big Game - Saturday, February 1.

***PLEASE NOTE*** one change to our auction format this time around - while our buyer's premium has always been a reasonable 18%, our acceptance of Paypal and credit cards has been very well-received, but the fees have a significant impact on our revenue. To help us manage these costs, we are raising our buyer's premium to 20%, BUT discounting it back to 18% for those who choose to pay by cash, check or money order.

Thanks, and I hope everyone enjoys the auction!
