What is cool to me is that this figure made its way onto a NY Giants pennant and, later, an SF Giants pennant. I love when the "evolution" is clear. Another kinda interesting thing is, when I dug out the SF pennant for this crummy scan , I noticed the band on the left is a silk-like material and not the usual felt. (P.S. the SF pennant is much better than the scan shows)

Pin and pennant are both from 1951, give or take one year. They actually made these pins for every team, and someone a few years ago posted picture of the pins on original store display easel stand.
